Dominium Cigars of Nicaragua was founded by the international tenor and entrepreneur Iván Gancedo. Together with a Jalapa master blender, he set out to create a smoking experience like elegant music.

After Gancedo gained access to a 150-hectare tobacco plantation in Jalapa, the plan at first was simple: the harvest would supply him with cigars for his own consumption - the kind that only tobacco growers and factory owners smoke themselves. A couple of years went by, and visiting friends regularly complimented him on the outstanding quality of his still-unnamed cigars. Once he recognized what he held in his hands, Gancedo built a company around it, one that remains independently owned to this day.

While Estelí may be Nicaragua's undisputed cigar capital, Dominium hails from Jalapa - reason enough to give this excellent and versatile cigar a try.
